Can I paint my Sliding Wardrobe Doors?

We hear this a lot from customers and we get it... Why get new doors when you can paint the old ones? They are perfectly fine but just don't match your new colour scheme.

Should you paint sliding wardrobe doors?

BUT JUST WAIT A SECOND...

Here's the thing...

YES, you can paint your sliding wardrobe doors but they must be plain gyprock if you have any hope of them staying painted and not flaking or looking... yuck.

When you attempt to paint any surface that is not a plain gyprock surface you will not have a fun time. Paint will naturally adhere to a plain gyprock surface as where it will tend to seperate and eventually flake from any surfaces with little surface to attach itself to like a vinyl sheet of gyprock which has little ridges in it and will not stick well.

When you paint your sliding wardrobe doors and they are plain gyprock you can re-paint them anytime. Sand them back, pick a new colour and you're good to go!

Check out our raw gyprock doors on our Sliding Wardrobe Doors Page and get a price to start that new renovation and get those doors matching your new colour scheme.
